Summary

A Pre Sales Solutions Architect is responsible for all the technical aspects of a sale before the business has been closed. They must be able to demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness and technical competence in all aspects of the Enterprise Networking business sector, including routing, switching and data centre design.

Job description

  • Focus on customer driven solutions.
  • Provide both strategic and day to day technical expertise and support for assigned accounts.
  • Assist with tender and bid responses for assigned projects or accounts
  • Develop strong technical relationships at the highest levels within the account(s).
  • Manage the timely, accurate and quality delivery of HP products and technical support to this strategic account as required to meet sales goals. This will include customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations and tender responses.
  • Work with Account Manager to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities within the account.
  • Develop technical expertise within the account and become the customers “trusted design authority”.
  • Provide timely feedback to NL Technical Management to help drive customer-focused solutions.
  • Drive HP’s technical leadership and innovative networking solutions in strategic opportunities to meet sales and business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of account plans with the sales team and leverage the account plans to further achieve business and revenue objectives

Job requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, business development acumen,
  • Technical aptitude, the ability to work successfully as part of a team, and a strong industry background.
  • Experience supporting and working with large enterprise accounts.
  • A complete understanding of data communications concepts of network architecture and their role in designing and implementing distributed processing.
  • Extensive knowledge of Networking and communication products and the design of IP networks are mandatory skills.
  • A successful candidate must have enterprise networking experience and understand and be able to work in the System Integrator sell through and sell to environment.
  • Knowledge of but not limited to: data centre design and virtualisation technology, enterprise network designs, routing and switching in LANs and WANs, WLAN, SP core and access technology (including MPLS), network management and security systems (IPS, Firewall and VPN) is required by a successful candidate.• The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with the sales team, partners and end customers at all levels.
  • He/she must demonstrate exceptional initiative and creativity in the development of technical solutions.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to clearly and concisely present complex ideas and solution concepts to the customer
